Oxygen Park, Public park in Education City, Qatar
Oxygen Park is a public green space in Education City, Qatar, with landscaped gardens, walking paths, and sports fields spread across two main areas. The grounds are organized into zones for leisure and physical activity, surrounded by open lawns.
The park opened in 2019, created by Qatar Foundation as part of a plan to bring green spaces to Education City. It was designed to serve the community of students, researchers, and residents living and working in the area.
The shapes found throughout the park, from curved paths to sculpted landforms, echo the wind-carved rocks and desert formations of Qatar's natural landscape. This connection to the local environment is something visitors can notice simply by walking around.
The park is easy to reach by metro, with the Qatar National Library station nearby, and it is open every day. On Monday evenings, a dedicated area is reserved for women only.
The trees planted throughout the park were chosen specifically for their high rate of oxygen production, rather than for their appearance alone. This makes the park one of the most oxygen-rich green spaces in the urban area around Doha.
