Stadionul Ion Oblemenco is a large football stadium in Craiova with capacity for more than 30,000 spectators and modern architecture built from concrete and steel. The stadium was built between 2015 and 2017, replacing the older facility that opened in 1967 and was originally known as Central. The project was completed quickly in less than two years and cost approximately 55 million euros, with most funding coming from the Romanian government.
The stadium bears the name of Ion Oblemenco, a beloved local football player whose legacy remains central to the club's identity. On match days, fans wearing team colors fill the stands and sing together, turning the venue into a gathering place for the community.
