Cathédrale de la Sainte-Trinité de Kraljevo

The Holy Trinity Cathedral of Kraljevo is a Serbian Orthodox church building with tall pillars and semicircular arches that create a spacious interior divided into three naves. The interior is marked by religious decorations that structure the space into different areas for worship and prayer.

Construction began in 1824 as a fulfillment of Prince Miloš Obrenović's vow during the Second Serbian Uprising. The stone church took about 15 years to complete and marked an important moment in establishing Serbian Orthodox institutions in the region.

The cathedral serves as the spiritual center of the Žiča Eparchy and shapes the religious life of Kraljevo through regular worship and major Orthodox celebrations. Believers gather here for important feast days and daily prayers, making it a living hub of faith for the community.

The cathedral is open daily for visitors, with higher attendance during morning services and major Orthodox religious holidays. Visitors should wear appropriate clothing and be mindful of the religious nature of the site, especially during active worship services.

A wooden church previously stood on this site and was relocated to make room for this stone cathedral. This relocation shows how important it was to establish the new religious building at this specific location.
