Brestovaska Lake is a reservoir in Serbia created by damming the Lusta Peka River, measuring approximately 2.8 kilometers in length and 500 meters across. The water body supplies drinking water to nearby towns and serves agricultural needs throughout the area.
The lake was created in 1960 following the completion of a dam on the Lusta Peka River, a tributary of the South Morava. This infrastructure project transformed the local landscape and enabled new activities to develop in the surrounding region.
Visitors can walk simple paths around the water that offer good views of the lake and surrounding nature. The water level changes with the seasons and water management practices, so the appearance of the lake may vary with each visit.
Local people have used the lake for fishing across generations, and it is common to see fishermen on the shore early in the morning. The calm water reflects the sky differently depending on weather, revealing crystal-clear surfaces in sunlight.
