The religious complex contains a church with stone blocks featuring inscriptions on the north facade and a monumental bell tower in the west.
Nobleman Nikola Dorjenović established the monastery in 1425 during the reign of despot Stefan Lazarević, marking the beginning of Serbian Orthodox presence.
In the eighteenth century, the monastery evolved into a spiritual center, housing religious artifacts and featuring icons painted by master Risto Nikolic.
