The Kovin Bridge extends across the Danube River with 18 spans, reaching a total length of 1,423 meters and featuring a central span of 171 meters.

The construction and inauguration of the Kovin Bridge in November 1976 marked a significant advancement in Serbian infrastructure development during the economic growth period of the 1970s.

The bridge connects two distinct Serbian regions, linking the agricultural landscapes of Banat with the industrial heritage of Smederevo along the Danube River banks.

The bridge carries Expressway 14 and functions as a crucial transportation link between the northern and southern regions of eastern Serbia, facilitating daily commuter traffic.

Each of the 18 spans of the Kovin Bridge was engineered to withstand both the strong currents of the Danube and the heavy industrial traffic between the regions.
