Obrenović Villa, Royal summer residence in Smederevo, Serbia
The neoclassical villa stands on the northern slopes of Plavinac Hill, offering views over the Danube River and surrounding vineyards spanning across the estate.
Prince Miloš Obrenović established the estate between 1827 and 1829, purchasing vineyards from Turkish sipahis and initiating the construction of a residential complex.
Queen Natalija and King Milan transformed the villa into a social center, where numerous artists and writers gathered for cultural events and celebrations.
The villa opens to visitors from April through October, requiring advance reservations through the Tourist Organization of Smederevo for group visits.
A three-century-old Persian carpet remains preserved in King Milan's study, representing the luxurious decorative elements of the former royal residence.
