Divljana Monastery

Divljana Monastery is a Serbian Orthodox religious complex located south of Bela Palanka, featuring a church and associated structures set within a mountainous landscape. The site combines ancient foundations with later architectural additions created through different periods of reconstruction and expansion.

The site has origins reaching back to late antiquity, as evidenced by archaeological remains from ancient times. The church building was reconstructed in the early 1900s, incorporating design elements that reflect multiple building phases spanning centuries.

This place remains an active center for Serbian Orthodox practice and community gatherings, where visitors can witness how the faith is expressed through daily worship and seasonal celebrations. The site reflects the deep spiritual roots of the region and its religious identity.
