Museum of naive and marginal art in Jagodina

The Museum of Naive and Marginal Art houses over 3,500 artworks including paintings, sculptures, drawings, and graphics from 400 different creators since the 1930s.

Established in 1960 as the Gallery of Self-taught Artists, the institution evolved into the Museum of Naive Art in 1985 before receiving its current name in 2007.

The museum's collection features works from Serbian self-taught artists, including notable pieces by Ilija Bašičević-Bosilj, representing raw artistic expression outside formal training.

Five professional curators guide visitors through the permanent exhibition, offering detailed insights into the development and characteristics of naive art movements.

The institution has organized more than 700 exhibitions and maintains one of the most substantial collections of naive art in the global museum landscape.
