Zyuratkul National Park, National park in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia
Spanning across 88,249 hectares, Zyuratkul National Park features mountains, lakes, and forests in the Southern Urals region of Russia.
The Russian government established this protected area in 1993 to preserve the natural ecosystems and geological formations of the Southern Urals.
Indigenous communities have maintained strong connections to the landscapes within the park, leaving remnants of ancient settlements and historical artifacts throughout the territory.
Visitors can access the park through checkpoints in the villages of Zuratkul and Tyulyuk, where they can purchase entrance tickets and obtain route information.
Lake Zyuratkul sits at 724 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest mountainous water bodies in the Ural Mountains.
