Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre

The Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre contains a main hall with 704 seats, a stage measuring 18 meters wide and 14 meters deep.

The theater opened its doors in 1874 with a wooden structure, and the current stone building was completed in 1880 under architect Rudolf Karvovsky's direction.

The theater holds the distinction of performing all of Tchaikovsky's stage works, including ten operas and three ballets in their complete repertoire.

The venue provides accessibility features with 69 percent wheelchair access, 36 percent visual impairment accommodations, and 56 percent hearing assistance facilities.

During World War II, the Kirov Opera and Ballet Theater from Leningrad relocated to this building, leading to significant artistic exchanges.
