Монастырь святого мученика Евгения, Orthodox monastery in Sovetsky District, Novosibirsk, Russia
The Saint Eugene Monastery includes a church building with a bell tower constructed according to 17th-century architectural designs near Zayeltsovsky Cemetery.
The foundation stone was consecrated by Bishop Tikhon on November 5, 1992, and the first Divine Liturgy took place during Easter celebrations in 1993.
The monastery houses revered religious artifacts, including an icon of Saint Sergius of Radonezh containing a fragment of his holy relics.
Twenty nuns maintain the monastery grounds, operate the Sunday school programs, and provide services with three priests and a deacon conducting daily ceremonies.
The monastery transitioned from a male to a female religious institution in 2001, becoming a subsidiary of the Michael the Archangel Convent.
