The bronze bust portrays Russian writer Alexander Pushkin wearing a top hat in the courtyard of the Yazykov Literary Museum.
The Simbirsk City Council initially planned to erect the bust in 1899 to commemorate Pushkin's birth centenary but lacked sufficient funds.
The bronze sculpture, donated by Academy of Arts President Zurab Tsereteli, stands as a testament to Pushkin's literary influence in Russian culture.
The memorial statue resides within the grounds of the Yazykov House Museum, a branch of the Regional Museum in Ulyanovsk.
Two of Pushkin's ancestors served as military governors of Simbirsk, now Ulyanovsk, during the seventeenth century, connecting his family to this region.
