Chusovaya River Nature Park

The Chusovaya River Nature Park spans 23,000 square kilometers across Perm Krai, Sverdlovsk Oblast, and Chelyabinsk Oblast, featuring forests, cliffs, and valleys.

Since the 16th century, the Chusovaya River served as a crucial transportation route for metals and coal from local mines until railway development reduced river navigation.

The Ethnographic Park within the protected area includes preserved peasant huts, a blacksmith shop, and chapels that represent regional life from the 19th century.

Visitors can participate in hiking, rafting, and birdwatching activities while exploring the numerous rock formations known as boitsy along the riverbank.

The park contains diverse ecosystems where moose, brown bears, wolves, and various fish species coexist among pine, larch, birch, and willow forests.
