Located on a hilltop near the Black Sea coast, the fortified settlement covers an area of 4 hectares with defensive walls and ditches.
The settlement existed from the 6th century BCE to the 1st century CE and served as a strategic point for the Bosporan Kingdom.
Archaeological excavations revealed pottery, jewelry, and artifacts that indicate trade connections with ancient Greek colonies along the Black Sea coast.
Visitors can access the site through guided tours from April to October, with archaeological research activities continuing during summer months.
Seven burial mounds surrounding the settlement contain remains of nobility, suggesting a complex social hierarchy within the ancient community.
