Ufa Planetarium, Science education center in Ufa, Russia
The Ufa Planetarium features an 8-meter dome screen that displays celestial objects and astronomical phenomena through advanced projection technology.
The planetarium opened its doors on July 22, 1964, and became an independent institution in 1976 when it separated from the Gafuri Culture and Recreation Park.
The planetarium organizes space art competitions where local youth present their works related to astronomy and space exploration throughout the year.
The facility operates Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and weekends from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with tickets ranging from 120 to 250 rubles.
The facility became the first in Russia to install the German-made Skymaster projection system during its technical renovation in the late 1990s.
