The Church of Archangel Michael features a rectangular structure with a four-columned portico, pediments, and a massive rotunda topped by a semicircular dome.
Built in 1700 to replace a wooden structure, the church underwent major reconstruction in 1828 when a Moscow architect modified its facade in classical style.
The church walls display numerous religious artworks, including a Palekh iconostasis presented by the Metropolitan of Kolomna following the building's renovation.
Located at 71 Grazhdanskaya Street near the Skating Center tram stop, the church stands west of Kolomna Kremlin and maintains regular religious services.
The building's classical architectural design makes it appear more like a mansion than a traditional Russian Orthodox church with its typical onion domes.
