Central Dynamo Stadium, Football stadium in Aeroport District, Moscow, Russia
The Central Dynamo Stadium is a football venue in the Aeroport District of Moscow that holds more than 36,000 spectators and features a grass pitch meeting international standards. The complex spreads across several levels with covered seating rows offering direct views of the playing surface.
The complex opened in 1928 and served as home ground for one of the oldest sports clubs in the country. During the 1980 Moscow Olympics, several competitions took place here.
The venue carries the name of the historic sports society that has trained here for nearly a century. The stands still show elements of Soviet modernism, while families and supporters gather around the pitch today.
The venue sits in the Aeroport District and is reachable via several metro stations and tram lines. On match days, gates usually open several hours before kickoff, allowing plenty of time to enter.
In September 1996, Michael Jackson performed during his HIStory World Tour in front of around 60,000 people here. The show remains one of the largest concerts ever held at the venue.
