Al Majma'ah

Al Majma'ah extends across 30,000 square kilometers of land, serving as the administrative center of the Sudair region in central Saudi Arabia.

The city traces its origins to 1417 when Abdullah Bin Saif al-Shammary al-Maibar from the Shammar tribe established the settlement.

The city contains multiple Islamic monuments and a museum featuring regional artifacts, alongside an 18th-century mud-brick fort that represents local architecture.

Al Majma'ah houses Majmaah University, established in 2009, which incorporates thirteen colleges specializing in engineering, medical sciences, and applied sciences.

The convergence of Wadi al-Mashqar and Wadi al-Kalb valleys influenced the city's name, as Al-Majma'ah translates to 'gathering' in Arabic.
