Abraj Al Bait, Skyscraper complex in Mecca, Saudi Arabia
The Abraj Al-Bait is a government-owned megatall complex of seven skyscrapers in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
These towers are a part of the King Abdulaziz Endowment Project that aims to modernize Mecca and accommodate more worshiping Muslims in the Holy Mosque.
It is the third tallest building in the world and the largest clock face in the world.
The complex also houses a five-story shopping mall, hotels and a museum on Islamic art.
Abraj Al-Bait was built after the demolition of the Ajyad Fortress, an 18th-century Ottoman citadel.
