The unfinished structure rises 351 meters with its construction paused at 63 completed floors out of the planned 200 floors above ground level.
The project, announced in September 2007 by Kingdom Holding Company, initially aimed to reach one mile in height but geological conditions limited it to 1000 meters.
The neo-futuristic design by architect Adrian Smith incorporates Saudi Arabian architectural elements while positioning Jeddah as a global economic center.
The mixed-use development includes residential units, office spaces, hotel rooms, and retail areas, supported by 59 elevators across four basement levels.
Upon completion, this structure will exceed the height of Burj Khalifa to become the first building in the world to reach 1000 meters.
