Jeddah Flagpole

The steel flagpole extends 171 meters into the sky, supporting a Saudi Arabian flag measuring 60 meters in length and 30 meters in width.

The structure opened on September 23, 2014, during Saudi Arabia's National Day celebrations and held the record for world's tallest flagpole until 2021.

The flagpole stands in King Abdullah Square, where 13 surrounding lights represent each governorate of Saudi Arabia, symbolizing national unity.

Visitors can access the flagpole area through the North Corniche district, which includes parking facilities and landscaped gardens covering 26,000 square meters.

Three specialized damper systems, weighing 11,000 kilograms, maintain the structure's stability against wind-induced vibrations at different frequencies.
