Rambergsvallen, Football stadium in Rambergsstaden, Gothenburg, Sweden.
Rambergsvallen is a football stadium in the Rambergsstaden district of Gothenburg, built to hold around 7,000 spectators and marked by four tall floodlight masts. The ground has standing areas and facilities for both players and visitors.
The stadium opened in 1935 and hosted local football clubs for many decades. It closed in 2013 after nearly eighty years as a regular match venue.
The stadium served as a gathering place for football supporters from across Gothenburg and shaped community life in the Rambergsstaden area. Generations of visitors connected their memories of local matches and regional games to this location.
The stadium sits in the Hisingen area of Gothenburg and is easy to reach from different parts of the city. Visitors can walk around the outside of the ground without any particular difficulty.
The four floodlight masts at Rambergsvallen were built from concrete rather than metal, a choice made to resist the salty sea winds coming in from the coast. This made them far more durable than the steel masts used at most stadiums of that era.
