Storsnasen

Storsnasen is a mountain in the Snasahögarna range located in western Sweden and stands at an elevation of 1,463 meters. The summit offers open views across the surrounding mountain landscape with lakes and distant ridges visible from the top.

The mountain has long served travelers in the Jämtland region as a navigation landmark when crossing the mountain landscape. Over time it became an established destination for climbers and hikers from surrounding areas.

The summit can be reached via marked hiking trails starting from Storulvåns mountain station, where hikers will find accommodation and basic facilities. The best time to hike is during the warmer months when snow has melted and trails are safely passable.

From the summit, Lake Ånnsjön is visible to the northeast, giving the location a special visual landmark. This elevation offers a unique perspective on the surrounding lakes and mountain ranges that few other vantage points in the area provide.
