Skalka, Mountain summit in Low Tatras, Slovakia.

Skalka rises prominently on a side ridge extending south from Kotliská Hill, featuring grassy peaks and eastern cliffs that descend into Vajskovská Valley.

The summit stands as part of the national nature reserve system established to protect alpine habitats and their native species in the Low Tatras region.

The mountain hosts an annual foot race from Smolenice to Havranica, commemorating climber Ľubos Stacho through the challenging mountain terrain.

Visitors can access Skalka through marked trails starting from Dolná Lehota, covering 12 kilometers, or from Demänovská Dolina, spanning 7 kilometers.

The summit contains three distinct peaks with a natural recess that creates complete silence by blocking external sounds from the surrounding environment.
