Klin

Klin is a mountain summit in the Western Tatras that rises to 2,173 meters and features a distinctive double-ridge formation. The peak sits on the boundary between two nations, creating its dual geographic significance.

The summit straddles the border between two countries, and locals refer to it by both a Slovak and a Polish name depending on which side they approach from. This dual identity shapes how people experience the mountain today.

You can reach the summit from multiple trailheads on either side of the border, each offering different difficulty levels. Winter conditions demand proper gear and caution since snow and ice make the slopes significantly more challenging.

The peak displays a double-ridge structure that has carved deep erosion patterns into the valleys on both sides. This unusual geological formation is what gives the mountain its striking silhouette from certain angles.
