Pyšné sedlo

The Pyšné sedlo mountain pass rises to an elevation of 1,791 meters between the peaks of Blyst and Velka Kamenista in the Western Tatras range.

The pass has served as a natural border crossing point between Slovakia and Poland, marking the easternmost ridge saddle of the Western Tatras mountains.

Local mountaineers maintain several designated hiking trails through the pass, connecting the Slovak village of Pribylina with the Polish community of Koscielisko.

The blue-marked trail from Podbanske leads to the pass through a three-hour hike, while the red-marked ridge path provides alternative access routes.

The pass features temporary water surfaces during heavy rainfall periods, despite the absence of permanent mountain lakes in its immediate vicinity.
