Tawhid Mosque

Tawhid Mosque is a contemporary house of prayer on Khalil al-Hindawi street with a central dome surrounded by four smaller silver domes at its corners. Four round minarets rise from the structure, dominating the skyline of this area in northern Syria.

The mosque was built in 1981, blending Islamic design principles from the Abbasid period with modern architectural methods. This combination of ancient tradition and contemporary construction reflects how the city developed its religious buildings in the 20th century.

The mosque stands in a Christian neighborhood, showing how different faiths coexist in the same part of the city. Walking through this district, visitors notice how religious communities share the urban space.
