Built and inaugurated in 1965, this multi-purpose stadium has remained operational throughout different periods of Syrian history, including recent challenging times.
The stadium serves as the home ground for Al-Ittihad football club and hosts matches from the Syrian Premier League and third division competitions.
The Ministry of Education manages the stadium facilities, ensuring regular maintenance and coordinating access for local sports organizations and community events.
During the Syrian conflict, this stadium remained the only functional sports facility in Aleppo due to its position in a secure neighborhood.
