Swissôtel Nai Lert Park Hotel, wellness hotel in Thailand
The Swissôtel Nai Lert Park Hotel is a five-star hotel on Wireless Road in Bangkok, set within a tropical garden. The five-floor building offers spacious rooms, a free-form outdoor pool, a fitness center, tennis and squash courts, and several restaurants serving both international and Swiss cuisine.
The hotel was built around 30 years ago on land that once belonged to K. Nai Lert, a prominent Bangkok businessman. His former residence on the grounds is currently being restored and is planned to open as a museum and event space.
The hotel sits in Bangkok's embassy district, where international businesses and foreign missions shape the character of the street. The garden with ponds and waterfalls follows traditional Thai landscape design and stands in sharp contrast to the busy road outside.
The hotel is within walking distance of the BTS stations at Ploenchit and Chidlom, giving easy access to the city's train network. Those arriving by car from either airport should allow extra time, as traffic in this part of Bangkok can vary a lot depending on the time of day.
Artwork displayed in the hotel lobby is available for purchase, with proceeds going to charities based in Thailand. This means a guest can support local causes simply by browsing the lobby on the way to breakfast.
