Siam area

Siam area is a retail district in Pathum Wan with several large shopping centers including Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery, and Siam Center spreading along Rama I Road. These centers together form Bangkok's main shopping zone with a wide range of stores and restaurants.

The area was originally rice fields in the 18th century and later became a royal residential zone. It transformed into a commercial center during the 20th century, especially from the 1960s onward.

Siam Square serves students and young professionals as a meeting point and shopping hub near Chulalongkorn University. The area blends education and leisure in a way typical of how Bangkok's younger generation spends their time.

The area is well served by the BTS Skytrain through Siam Station, which functions as a major interchange point. The central location makes it easy to reach by public transport and navigate on foot between the different shopping centers.

Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World in Siam Paragon is a large aquarium with thousands of marine animals from different regions. The underground complex offers visitors a glimpse into diverse ocean ecosystems without needing to travel far.
