Holy Redeemer Church

Holy Redeemer Church is a Catholic church near Phloen Chit BTS Station on Ruamrudee Lane, with Thai elements in its architecture and structure. The building serves a diverse congregation and is used for regular worship services.

The Redemptorist congregation founded the church in 1949 in a wooden structure, before completing the current building in 1954. The move from the original chapel marked a major expansion of the congregation at that time.

The church serves a mixed congregation of Catholics from Thailand and abroad in Bangkok's embassy district. It holds services in Thai and English, creating a meeting place for people from many different countries.

Visiting is easiest on weekends when multiple services occur at different times. It helps to check the exact times in advance, as there are both Thai and English language masses.

A food assistance program has supported over 400 families monthly since 2009, including asylum seekers from several countries. This work shows how the community helps people facing difficult circumstances.
