Science Center for Education

The Science Center for Education is a science museum in Khlong Toei with multiple exhibition halls covering physics, biology, environmental science, and technology. The facility features interactive displays throughout and houses a planetarium with a semidome structure for sky presentations.

The museum was established in 1992 through the merger of the Bangkok Planetarium from 1964 and the Center for Educational Museum from 1976. This combination brought two separate scientific institutions together under a single roof.

The center serves as a gathering place where school groups and families explore scientific ideas together through direct engagement. You can observe how people of all ages interact at the stations and discover concepts side by side.

The museum is easily accessible and open Tuesday through Sunday, allowing visitors to travel there by local transport or on foot from nearby areas. Plan to spend several hours to properly explore the various exhibition areas and planetarium shows.

The planetarium cycles through different presentations every two months, covering various astronomy and science topics not seen in previous rotations. Regular visitors often return to catch these rotating programs and discover new material each time.
