Benjasiri Park, Urban park in Sukhumvit district, Bangkok, Thailand
Benjasiri Park is an urban green space in Sukhumvit located between Sois 22 and 24, featuring walking paths, sports areas, and a central pond. The 11-acre property is lined with vegetation and includes zones for exercise and recreation.
The park opened in 1992 as a gift for Queen Sirikit's birthday and was built on the former site of a meteorological office. This transformation brought a significant green space to a densely developed neighborhood.
The park displays twelve sculptures created by Thai artists throughout its space, reflecting different aspects of local artistic practice. Visitors naturally encounter these works while walking and can see how they relate to the surrounding landscape.
The space is easy to access during daylight hours and features basketball and volleyball courts, skateboard areas, and exercise zones. Early morning and evening visitors will find it less crowded.
The space was connected to the adjacent Emporium and EmSphere shopping centers, creating a link between the park and commercial areas. This connection allows visitors to move easily between green space and urban development.
