โรงเรียนวรรณวิทย์, school in Thailand
Wannarawit School was a private institution in Bangkok near Sukhumvit Road that served students from kindergarten through high school. The campus consisted of several wooden structures, including a three-story classroom building, a ground-floor cafeteria, and a large hall used for school activities and gatherings.
The school was founded in 1946 by Mr. Phiu Sooksawat, who initially taught just seven students himself and did not charge tuition fees. Leadership passed to Miss Rujisamorn Sooksawat in 1957, under whom the school grew and received recognition from the Ministry of Education as equivalent to a government institution.
The school was situated conveniently near Sukhumvit Road and was accessible to the local community. The institution closed in 2022 after 76 years of operation, so it no longer functions as an active school.
The school used a bell signal to mark class changes, a simple system that helped students and teachers stay organized throughout the school day. The school emblem featured a fairy holding a torch and flying above clouds, symbolizing enlightenment and hope for students.
