Point Bornova, Shopping center and skyscraper in Bornova district, İzmir, Turkey
Point Bornova is a tall mixed-use building in Bornova that combines retail shops, residential apartments, and offices across 50 floors and 193 meters of height. The structure uses glass and steel throughout, creating a contemporary appearance within the urban landscape.
Construction started in 2014 and was completed in November 2015, introducing a new model for mixed-use towers in the city. This development marked a shift in how İzmir approached vertical building design.
The building represents how modern cities in Turkey blend shopping, housing, and leisure in one vertical space. You can see this mix in how residents, shoppers, and visitors move through the building and how it shapes daily urban routines.
The shopping section contains more than 100 stores, restaurants, a cinema, and prayer rooms for visitors of all backgrounds. You will also find electric vehicle charging and nursing areas throughout the building.
The building has separate entrances for residents and shopping visitors, allowing the residential and commercial sections to operate independently. This design ensures that apartment dwellers and shoppers follow different paths through the structure.
