Aşık Veysel Recreation Area

The recreation area encompasses 231,000 square meters of green space with walking paths, sports facilities, and an artificial pond of 1,500 square meters.

The Izmir Metropolitan Municipality initiated construction in 2008 and officially opened this recreational facility to the public on September 25, 2010.

The park carries the name of a Turkish folk poet and features a 5,000-seat amphitheater that hosts performances throughout the year.

The facility includes three basketball courts, two tennis courts, a mini football field, and parking spaces for 593 vehicles.

The park contains a 12,000-square-meter ice sports hall that hosts national and international skating competitions and public skating sessions.
