İzmir Art and Sculpture Museum

The museum collection spans multiple floors across 5,000 square meters, displaying Turkish paintings, sculptures, and ceramic works from the 20th century.

Founded in 1952 as the İzmir State Painting and Sculpture Museum, the institution relocated from Kültürpark to its current location on Atatürk Boulevard.

The museum holds regular art workshops for design, painting, ceramics, watercolor, sculpture, and traditional handicrafts, particularly focused on primary school students.

The facility remains open to visitors six days per week, closing only on Mondays, and includes a specialized library for art research purposes.

The collection contains numerous works by Turkish artist Turgut Pura, who led the institution's transition from gallery to museum in 1973.
