Rexx Sineması

Rexx Sineması is a cinema in the Caferağa neighborhood of Kadıköy, housed in a historic building on Sakız Gülü Street. It features four screening halls and sits near Kadıköy's main entertainment district.

The building originally served as the Apollo Theatre from the 1870s and hosted performances by actress Afife Jale. She was the first Turkish female stage performer and shaped the country's theatrical history.

The cinema shows films that occupy a smaller space in Istanbul's broader film landscape, including festival selections and works from Turkey and abroad. It is a place where film lovers gather to discover stories not shown in mainstream multiplexes.
