Fulong Beach, Coastal beach in Gongliao District, Taiwan
The 3-kilometer stretch of yellow sand at Fulong Beach divides into inner and outer sections by the flowing Shuang River reaching the Pacific Ocean.
The beach establishment in 1975 marked a transition from Taiwan Railways Administration management to the Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration.
The annual Hohaiyan Rock Festival brings together over 100,000 music enthusiasts during a three-day summer celebration featuring local and international performers.
Visitors can reach the beach through Fulong Station by train, take bus routes 791 or 856, or drive via National Freeway 1 and Provincial Highways.
The golden sand composition of Fulong Beach differs from other Taiwanese beaches, with the coastline gradually shifting due to the nearby nuclear power plant structures.
