Taipei Confucian Temple, Confucian temple in Datong District, Taiwan

The temple complex features Chinese architectural elements with ornate wooden carvings, symmetrical courtyards, and traditional roof structures across 4,000 square meters of grounds.

Local merchants and community leaders initiated the temple construction in 1925, completing the structure in 1939 as a replacement for the former Taipei Government Temple.

The temple maintains regular ceremonies following Ming Dynasty traditions, including ritual dances and offerings performed by students and community members throughout the year.

The temple welcomes visitors Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM and Sundays until 5:00 PM, with multilingual information panels throughout the premises.

The temple walls incorporate design elements from Quanzhou architecture, representing the only Confucian temple in Taiwan built during the Japanese colonial period.
