Far Eastern Plaza, Twin towers in Daan District, Taipei, Taiwan.
Far Eastern Plaza is a twin tower complex in Daan District rising to 165 meters with 41 floors containing office and hotel spaces. The buildings were constructed as two identical structures and feature retail spaces at ground level along with direct links to nearby transportation hubs.
Construction began in 1990 under architect Chu-Yuan Lee and P&T Group, reaching completion in 1994. This finished project marked a major milestone in Taipei's skyline and office space development during that decade.
The south tower houses corporate offices while the north tower contains the Shangri-La Far Eastern hotel serving international visitors. This mix shapes daily activity around the site as business professionals and hotel guests move through the shared spaces.
The towers connect directly with nearby MRT stations and are straightforward to reach by public transportation. The retail spaces at ground level offer various shopping and dining options for visitors.
The building received recognition from Taiwan's Environmental Protection Administration for implementing energy conservation systems throughout both towers. This recognition shows how the project went beyond standard commercial development.
