Leofoo Village Theme Park, Theme park in Guanxi, Taiwan
Leofoo Village is a theme and safari park in Guanxi, northern Taiwan, combining several zones with roller coasters, water rides and African wildlife. The grounds include not just attractions but also performance stages and an area where visitors observe animals up close.
The park opened in the late 1970s as one of Taiwan's first major leisure complexes. Over decades, new themed sections and rides were added, continuously expanding what visitors could experience.
The name comes from the English word for lion, which connects to the real big cats visitors meet in the safari section. Today you see Chinese temples standing next to structures inspired by Arabian tales, showing how the park brings together different worlds.
Foreign travelers receive half the entrance fee when showing their passport at the ticket desk. Weekends and public holidays bring more local families, so rides may have longer waits during those times.
The whitewater raft ride extends several hundred meters, making it one of the longer courses of its kind. In the safari section, lions and other African species live in large enclosures that visitors drive through by vehicle.
