Window on China Theme Park, Miniature theme park in Longtan, Taiwan
Window on China Theme Park features more than one hundred scale models of well-known buildings and monuments from around the world, arranged across landscaped grounds in Longtan. Pathways wind between the miniatures, allowing close observation of the detailed replicas set among gardens and open viewing areas.
The park opened on July 7, 1984, as the first facility in Taiwan dedicated to displaying miniature versions of international monuments and structures. Over the years, the collection grew to include models representing Europe, Asia, the Americas, and other regions.
The park incorporates traditional Taiwanese performances and regional customs alongside its international exhibits, creating a space for cross-cultural understanding.
Parking and dining facilities are located near the entrance, allowing visitors to leave vehicles and take breaks as needed. Guided tours are available to help with orientation and to explain the origin of the structures on display.
The miniatures follow accurate scale ratios to the original structures, allowing direct comparison of proportions and styles from different cultures within a small area. Visitors can examine details from multiple continents in a single walk, comparing them side by side.
