Li Tien-lu Hand Puppet Historical Museum

The Li Tien-lu Hand Puppet Historical Museum is a puppet museum in Sanzhi with over 200 antique puppet heads and traditional performance tools displayed across three floors. The collection includes various types of puppets and equipment that were used for classical theater performances.

The museum was founded in 1996 and honors Li Tien-lu, a master puppeteer who shaped Taiwanese hand puppet theater. His techniques and artistic legacy are preserved through the extensive collection on display.

The museum displays generations of hand puppet craftsmanship through its collection of male and female character puppets dressed in traditional costumes. These pieces show how different roles and personalities were expressed through detailed costume work and facial design.
