Established in 1644, the Chen De-Jiu Family Hall remains the principal ancestral shrine for the Chen family lineage, maintaining its original structural integrity across three centuries.
The ancestral hall incorporates detailed murals created by master artist Chen Yu-feng, representing traditional Chinese artistic methods and religious symbolism.
Visitors can explore the hall from Tuesday through Sunday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with guided tours available through the Tainan Guide Association.
The hall features a distinctive Han Fan House Carrier statue that functions as part of an integrated water drainage system, channeling rainwater through a beam to a dragon head spout.
