Hsinchu Taiwan Pavilion Expo Park, Exhibition pavilion in East District, Hsinchu, Taiwan.
The Taiwan Pavilion spans across three main sections including a City Theme Hall, Sky Lantern Platform, and Sky Theater within a modern architectural complex.
After its showcase at the Shanghai World Expo 2010, the Hsinchu City Government purchased the pavilion for 450 million New Taiwan dollars and reopened it in 2013.
The four-story building takes the form of a traditional sky lantern, representing the aspirations and traditions of Taiwanese society through its architectural design.
The pavilion connects to Global Mall, offering free access to shopping areas on the first two floors while theater visits require separate admission tickets.
The Sky Theater features a 12-meter diameter screen delivering a 720-degree viewing experience enhanced with 4D effects and immersive audio technology.
