Guanshan Waterfront Park, Ecological park in Guanshan Township, Taiwan.
Guanshan Waterfront Park is a 34-hectare ecological area in Guanshan Township with a large lake fed by underground water sources. Walking paths wind through green spaces and past ecological islands designed for nature observation.
The site was once a local dumping ground before it was transformed into a public park in 1999. This conversion changed a problem area into a valuable natural space for the community.
The park was designed as a recreational space for the community and lets visitors observe the wildlife and plants of the rift valley. People use the observation areas to watch migrating birds and local species in their natural setting.
The park is accessible from Guanshan Station with several entrance points for visitors. Wear comfortable shoes for walking the paths and exploring the various areas throughout the grounds.
The grounds connect directly to the Guanshan Township Bike Loop, one of the best cycling routes in the region. This link lets visitors combine a visit to the park with a longer bike ride.
