Qionglin Cai Family Ancestral Shrine

The Qionglin Cai Family Ancestral Shrine is a gathering place with traditional architecture, where stone carvings and a central courtyard define its structure. The space is designed to bring the family together for religious and family celebrations.

The Cai family built this shrine after settling in Kinmen during the Five Dynasties period. The structure documents the family's presence in the region for over one thousand years.

The altar displays ancestral tablets arranged by rank, which form the focus during important family ceremonies held throughout the year. Visitors can see how the family maintains its connection to previous generations through the careful arrangement and care of this space.

The site opens during local festivals and family gatherings, and visitors can contact the village tourism office to arrange access. Guided tours are available by prior arrangement.

This shrine is one of seven ancestral halls belonging to the Cai family in the village and features the black and red color schemes of traditional Chinese ceremonial architecture. These colors hold deep symbolic meaning and noticeably shape the appearance of the place.
