Xinpu Pan Family House

The Xinpu Pan Family House is a three-story residence in Taiwan organized around one outer courtyard and two inner courtyards. The structure combines red bricks and granite throughout its design, creating a compact multi-section living complex.

The house was built in 1815 and underwent major reconstruction in 1861 due to changing security conditions of that era. The rebuilding demonstrates how residents adapted their home to address new challenges they faced.

The residence reflects Hakka architectural traditions through its window designs and spatial organization that were adapted to local living conditions. These features show how the building was shaped to suit the needs and preferences of the community that lived there.
